Many a time have I been fooled by a seemingly decent volume 1 of a series for it to start deteriorating from volume 2 onwards. Overused tropes and cliches plague the stories which become repetitive. So when Kunon’s volume 1 came out I didn’t get my hopes up even though I liked the writing. But with volume 2 out now we can see that the author kept the pacing and writing the same, without introducing any harems, tsunderes etc etc, just the same interesting story.
This is really interesting. It’s kinda slow up until the last couple chapters, but there’s something in those chapters that makes you say “what the hell” and want to read the next volume. Great series so far.
Read up to Vol 1.
A rather decent read. Comfortable enough since there are no “shock moments” strewn into the plot to make people gasp.
Characters are okay, the world itself is relealistically-ish in reactions and interactions, and the MC is neither an isekai-ed wimp, nor a perfect being.
There is a lot of potential for things to shift into worse plot holes, but also a lot of potential for things to go on as they have in Vol 1 and thus be quite enjoyable to read.
