I was a nice read, their group may be strong but not OP, the hightlight is naturally on their teamwork and lack of hesitation to do what need to be done to win. They get tired, they get hurt, and take vacation like what people do.
What I dont like is how the chapter’s titles are so crigey and everyone fear on Asura felt a little exaggerated. Sure, she is twisted and all, but she still can be killed if you willing to make some sacrifices.

Quite awhile since I’ve enjoyed a novel. Most of the characters were memorable in this novel, and did leave an impression,
This is a fun read. It’s like a mix of The Girl Who Ate a Death God and Youjo Senki.

Just reading the first chapters in Vol 1;
Do not think this is a take on Youji Senki/Tanya the evil.
Its either baiting with insane(ly) twisted characters and vicious combat in the first chapters OR a plain clusterfuck of actual psychos in a mercenary party doing war things.
Writing is decent, there is a “lack” of actual descriptions of gore and injuries, but the fighting is pretty intense and the characters on the MC´s side (and MC) are perhaps completely deranged compared to the rest of the world.
Read up to Vol 2
Decent story if you enjoy violence, pain and abusive theming.
The MC´s group has good companionship internally, the world is actually trying to be a decent place (instead of being populated only by moronic self-centered people with delusional shortsightedness as in some other LNs) and the people hostile to MC have either good reason or are the rare moronic self-centered type of stupid psychopath.
Writing is decent, but its not a pleasant read if you prefer comfortable themes, despite truly traumatic stuff not being described in detail.
It is also foreseeable that the people hostile to MC/MCs group will be dead or wishing for death.
