the main battle scene is freaking cool. it gives the same vibe as EVANGELION or Pacific Rim fights, and I really love it.
For the other part, the characters do have good stories specially the MC so you can’t hate them.
When I started reading it, I didn’t like it much. Everything seemed much too epic. But soon after the “day to day” life began I found myself immersed into the story. The characters are likeable and everyone has their own issues and agenda. I even got some Harry Potter vibes, this is playing at a boarding school after all.
The monsters and summons are taken from Greek mythology (and some others also mixed in, but mostly Greek) so there is some Percy Jackson feel to it as well.
All in all it was a nice surprise and I’ll continue reading it.
