Explain the novel in a single sentence!
Arifureta is a very harem-ish, chuni, an edgy novel that slightly better than the other so-called trash novel of JLN.
what is it about?
Isekai… oh the glorious isekai. the Mc is thrown to isekai along with his classmates. To spice things up, the author makes the mc into the weakest member, and from there he rises into an op mc. His name is Hajime btw, not Naofumi.
I heard a lot of trash-talking about this novel, is it really that bad?
Well, the first volume is good. Even the one who trash talk this novel agree to it. But after that, it’s declining really quick. Mc also reverts back to the generic, heroic character that saves people left and right
Girls!!! Tell me about them!!
Well for the heroines, there is Yue, the vampiric girl, and also Shizuku the motherly classmate. Other than them there are also noisy rabbit girl, M dragon, and boring classmates. Yue who has been experiencing hardship together with Hajime or Shizuku who is pretty much the closest friend Hajime ever had in Japan has a valid reason to fall in love with him. The others? Not so much.
should I watch the anime instead?
Yes, please do so you freak. The CGI is so top class that I think it could be the best-animated film in Africa.

Seems like there would be more than 11 official Volumes. Beginning another TL blog his TL is still ongoing and it’s by Chapter up to nearly 500 or something with all the extra Short stories not included. Could be that TL hasn’t updated his Blog to reflect his version of the TL was dropped. J novel club usually sends out Semi-DMCA’s to whoever is doing translations of said series once they officially start it and usually the TL drops the series most of the time.

Vol 10 and 11 are posted on the Fan Tl blog but it seems the links are not working. Vol 10 is the Extra Story’s and Vol 11 if After story 2 continuing from After Story 1 vol 9.
