Deemed a “good-for-nothing” for his low level and lack of a god-given Gift, Allen is stripped of his noble status and banished from the Duchy of Westfeldt. But Allen has a secret: he was a great hero in a previous life, and he’s thrilled for the chance to finally live the way he pleases! His drama-free existence, however, is soon interrupted by a desperate encounter with his ex-fiancée. As a former hero who still possesses the incredible powers from his past life, Allen can’t ignore someone in need—no matter how much he might like to! And so begins the new heroic saga our former hero never wanted!

For me it was neither good nor bad. It was generic af. The MC is super overpowered, the strongest in the world, practically god tier, yet he is “mistaken” for weak because his stats all show only Lv. 1. His secret is that he has his totally ridiculously overpowered skill from his former life as the hero of another fantasy world, and those skills are hidden.
Allen can basically kill anyone at anytime no matter where they are if he has met said person at least once and decided to “track” him. But I’m sure the author won’t use that skillset often or regularly because … no tension in fights.
The MC’s father who throws him out and his brother are the typical generic villains who want to dethrone the king and take over with the help of demons but it is just way too obvious that the demons have their own plans and most likely will get rid of them in the next few volumes themselves, so that the hero doesn’t have to commit parricide.
The story about the saintess princess also makes not much sense. Who sends their princess daughter with super duper healing powers out with only four guards on a mission were obviously battles will take place? It was just a cheap way for Allen to meet up with his ex-fiancee. Both were five when they got engaged and ten when they were unengaged because Allen’s status dropped from prodigy to worthless. So now the Hero, the princess and her one surviving guard travel the “frontier” on adventure. Stumbling und preventing totally coincidently over every evil plan or scheme the baddies were preparing for weeks, months, and years…
The writing is okay, the characters themselves are also okay and the adventures are okish as well but nothing here is unique or special. It’s the typical 5 / 10 story to just enjoy after turning off your brain.
Issue is that the “main villains” of his family are created by the MC´s very own decision and lifestyle, meaning that if he had opened up about being a hero and not wanting anything to do with the shit he knows being attached to doing heroic feats, his fucking familiy would not have turned traitor against the entire world.
While its mostly decent in writing, its kinda meh to read once you get to this point and ponder what happened.
This was really good. It was over before I knew it. Worth the binge, I’ll wait for more eagerly.
