Survival in Another World with My Mistress!

The next thing I knew I was somewhere that was clearly not Earth! Why! I don’t know why I’m here!

But I have to survive anyway. Even if I stay silent, I’ll be thirsty, I’ll be hungry, and I might run into some dangerous creatures.

Oh, I can use the crafting menu from minecraft!? Somehow if I can focus on it, the keyboarding works too! There was a time for me too when I thought I had won.

Some unknown creature to be encountered! A violent person who attacked me in my sleep! Sub-humans with a grudge against humans! Oh, yes, s*ave and protection, whatever you want to do. I will work hard, master.

This is a story about a main character who loves survival-type PC games and suddenly wanders into another world and fights to survive with his ferocious but beautiful and cute master.

  • Seems like it got axed at vol 6…is there anywhere i can read the webnovels?

  • Is vol 6 the last volume???
    It’s quite unusual for the writer not to write afterword.
    I hope its not ended prematurely because some other thing happen to the writter.

    • I think it might be axed sadly been looking around online seems to be that way and when I looked up on NovelUpdates it said the Web Novel was complete at 434 chapters and the light novels got axed also the Japanese Vol 6 was release back in Sept. 2021 so it’ll have been 2 years since then so if it is I’ll have to switch to the WN and finish it off through that 🙁

  • I like this novel

  • Still waiting for PDF of Vol.5

  • PDF for Vol. 5 please ^^

  • Hi the e-pub of tome 5 of survival in another world is impossible to upload

  • Please update the PDF for Vol.4

  • Well I read the WN and the light novel is Kore detailed i like it.

  • Okay, its a theme ive discovered on this and other LN sites;

    Neither the synopsis nor the comments make sense most of the time.

    This LN reads pretty good, the MC is decent (in character, motivation, not being dense), the story so far is pretty okay as well as actually decent worldbuilding.

    I can see why having an easy to understand phrase like “Minecraft crafting” would be useful to convey how the MC´s powers work (and its very close to that, really), but again;

    Neither the LN´s synopsis nor the comments here make any sense regarding to the quality of the LN itself.

    Just read the first volume for yourself, please.

  • A few of the comments nearly made me skip this series. Shame on you people, you’re really misrepresenting things here.

    It’s actually a really good read.
    – The MC isn’t an idiot.
    – Willingly being a slave is more of a joke throughout. The slave collar doesn’t even work on him. If anything it’s more of a knight serving a lady (with benefits) kind of situation.
    – It’s not restrained by minecraft mechanics. He can pretty much do anything given enough material to work with.

    The (first) LN only covers 8 days but they’re jam packed with stuff that’s going on. Lot’s of stuff gets created and him being able to apply gaming mechanics in the real world is pretty fun like when he imagines hitting WASD keys and walking normally resulting in something similar to walking on a moving walkway like at airports. It’s also longer than standard LN’s which is nice as it gives more reading fun (±30% more). And not in a way that things are dragged out. Also the novel goes until pretty much the last page which is also nice, no annoying bonus/extra/side crap or other stuff inflating the page count. If I had to give it a grade, it would at least get a 7.8 out of 10.

    • I appreciate the more in-depth review in lieu of the other reviews doing exactly what you called out. Making me take the plunge. Gonna check it out, should be done in a couple hours. I look forward to it, thanks to you, King.

    • I gave it a try after reading this comment. The first volume was okay. Couldn’t finish volume 2 because it got so boring. The volumes are long but are very repetitive and slow. MC crafts stuff and shows off his power and impresses everyone. Now repeat that over and over…
      I did not look at the tags and expected there to be romance but any romance is lost with the harem. Turns into your typical self-insert wish-fulfillment harem Isekai junk food.

      • Well I wouldn’t go so far as calling the second volume boring but it is going downhill. That whole harem situation is disappointing. I didn’t originally read the tags so going on title alone you would think there is no room for a harem with a mistress and everything. But BAM! 20+ girl harem almost all harpies, that’s lame in and of itself I mean they have wings for arms making them pretty much disabled.

        • i mean, pussy’s pussy in the end

        • Apart from the Harpies actually being able to use cutlery and perform most tasks normally, albeit “clumsily”?

          Or the fact that the Harpies went from being a disdained military unit in their army to an elite unit thanks to the MC?

          Its just another indication of the fact that when three people read an LN, you get five opinions and two of those are from people who did not even read past the prologue.

    • Too much water?

  • Yeah going to have to pass on this one. First the whole minecraft then the whole idiot MC willingly being a slave. Can always count on the Japanese to make weird novels like you can count on the Chinese to fill a novel with filler.

    • Oh well caught;
      I didn’t noticed that he got enslaved ‘willingly’, from the synopsis.
      And yeah, the minecraft thing is so stupid, as it generally is when an author directly quote/use a real life game/element for his isekai.
      Why the heck would you want to self restrain with ‘minecraft’ of all games, and so self-restrain with the recipes/mechanics as well;
      And then when they will update irl, what will you do ?
      I guess he will take total liberty and do whatever he wants with the system anyway, but then he would have been better endorsing the fact that it was a fictional crafting/building game, or a system unique to the isekai, and so he would have a legitimate total freedom to do whatever he wanted.
      But then he would need to be creative and have good writing so the system can be explained properly, and he preferred the lazy way …

      But to be honest I am a bit curious to see how stupid it gets, I probably won’t get to the end of volume1, but w’ll see.
      (most if not all novels with some ‘slavery’ involved at their core are generally awfully bad, or at least they get dragged down by said theme (the ‘slavery’), even if they can still be good otherwise; from a writing/development/coherence perspective, so I am really not expecting much)

  • ughhh i thought it was volume 5. damn it.

  • Isekai novels getting weirder and weirder

    • So if we go in the reverse direction with that; are you suggesting there ever were isekais that were not weird? I must have missed that. I would have loved to have read those though.

      • Fushi No Kami and The Great cleric are unwierd isekais

        • Isn’t he Great Cleric guy literally know as something like “lord weirdo” in that story, you know with the chuggin’ of that horrendously tasting brew.

          I get where you’re coming from but I guess my point was kinda like how an isekai per definition is weird, even the Fusi guy is kind of a weirdo by that world’s standards. That said I would love to go without “masochist” level weirdness in these books of maybe the term insanity would be better (that really ruined Arifureta at some point).
