Is that a good or a bad thing? I stopped reading around when merry “changed” and haven’t feel a good reason to come back, I saw some illustration of her with Hiiro a couple volumes before this so planning to go back into it but… Should I?
Since i haven’t read the newest volume i can’t say for sure, but going off the ending of vol 18 i would say it’s a bad thing.
A little warning, similar to you i pretty much stopped reading after merry changed. I picked it up again at the end of ’22 and read through to vol 18.
I have to say that the volumes 15-17 (i think?) were really hard to read, it felt like a chore sometimes. To me at least.
After reading 18 and finishing it, i understood why they were necessary. Since then i have been itching to read vol 19

Seems the anime only covers the first 2 volumes. No wonder I found the anime to be progressing sooo slow.
