  • Uoooohhh !! Finally vol 6 !!

    Thank you so muuucchh !!!

  • To anyone who wanna read this. Don’t expect OPness. MC don’t want to stand out and while Peeps can fight against demonfolk which is considered one of the strongest creature in otherworld, he got powercreeped by anime fan just for the memes.

If this kind of things annoy you I recommend don’t read it. I’m considering dropping it as well, currently reading volume 2.

    It’s annoying.

  • It’s good. I enjoyed reading it.

  • Also, not saying its bad thing per se, but there too many long monologue.

  • Holy shit. vol 1 epilogue went really dark really quickly. I totally didn’t expect that, what the fuck the author thinking there?

I hope the author get somewhere with this. Because if that’s not the case, I will peddling it as self insert loli fetishism. Gross.

  • Where vol 6? It’s out yo

  • vol 5 has been available, plz kindly update it

  • Still waiting for updates… The book has been released a few days ago…

  • This LN is pretty good and got a lot of twist..
You like Isekai? That can go back to og world..
    Esper and secret organation??
Magical girls? (Literally not in Isekai way it’s like madoka or something magical girl in other dimension)
    Demon and Angels war

And the author mix it well..

  • I like, that this LN is for a more mature audience. Granted, the author has loli in his name and so far wrote erotic / ecchi stuff so it shouldn’t be a surprise that all the girls are way too young especially for the protagonist. At least the MC knows it himself and stays “romantically” clear off them. So I guess he’ll stay the single guy with a loli harem throughout the story.

But luckily the pseudo-harem is not the main part here. The novel is packed with plots and sub-plots, no wonder a volume here has about double the length of ordinary light novels. Otherworld, Psychics, Magical Girls, Angels and Demons. This however also leads to focusing on different parts of the plots and that might annoy / bore people when their favorite plotline is on the side-burner for a while.

As others already said, after becoming established in the other world the action shifts to mostly happen in the real world.

Personally I really enjoyed to have an adult MC who acts like an adult (mostly) and not the typical overpowered, overly wise for their age, teenage superhero. But I also don’t like Sasaki as a person himself when it comes to his character, he is a hard worker, intelligent, good businessman and negotiator but also self-loathing person. The typical Japanese worker bee, that suddenly comes to enjoy its freedom and gain of power.

Altogether this is one of the better if not among the best serious and mature light novels. It’s very ambitious with all the stuff that is cramped in but (so far) knows how to deliver very well.

  • Thanks for the update, feedback later.

    • Peeps having low tolerance in alcohol made a blunder of doing a live stream. And a storm is brewing between the yandere, loli baba, mahou shoujo, joshi kousei and otherworld drill princess.

  • It was a decent read and infinitely tamer novel compared to the author previous works, Atelier Tanaka and Nishino-kun, which had some questionable stuffs lying around. Well, the neighboor kid is kinda creepy, but this will be related to how she obtain power.

The duality of story of fantasy world’s transaction and modern world’s esper conflict is neat. We dont get many novels about esper other than toaru series. And the fight on modern world in this series is undoubtly got more gripe than the fantasy world side, since the protagonist isnt always with peeps and he need to use his wits and negotiation skills to take care of things while trying to hide the variety of magic at his disposal as much of possible.

As for now, the series has much less action than what I expected, as it leaned more on negotiation and transaction which highlight the protagonist old man’s wisdom, while peeps work as worst case measurement (brute force). But I believe it was just the beginning, laywork for bigger conflict later, since the protagonist made some connection to several powerful individuals which might give us insight to what direction the story would take.

One thing I dislike is some of the protagonist’s choice of transaction goods. Like, seriously, transceiver? Any communication tool is pretty dangerous to be sold, even if the range is only a few meters. He thought it would be used of hunting hobby (which is stupid), but of course it would be used for wars and intel gathering. Once is okay, that was one time mistake. But he sold it again, even worse, to a major merchant from another country, which… I dunno…

  • Nice an update, guess I’ll be sleeping late tonight.

  • This is a good read, I’ll give it a 7.5/10.

I first thought the peeps thing referred to people as in Sasaki and the people surrounding him. That sort of fits too though it’s really the name of the bird.

Anyway unlike most LN’s this one is quite maturely written (although there is a tendency towards young girl (so far side) characters). Also the author doesn’t seem to be in it for the paycheck, not yet anyway. The first volume is packed with actual storytelling without dragging things out just to inflate the page count. You can just relax and read the story without getting frustrated due to bad writing practices.

So yeah I recommend you give this one a go.

    • You praised this one quite a bit but still it’s only a 7.5 hu? I really want to know what sort of series you consider 9+ ?

Mind recommending Mc some of your favorites.

      • My grading system works as follows: 1-3 bad, 4-6 mediocre, 7-9 good, 10 masterpiece.

It’s “only” a 7.5 because it’s still a light novel. Well lets face it light novels are generally rather “light”. So it’s actually a pretty high score for a light novel. I mean the grading system also includes works from the likes of Brandon Sanderson and others that have produced some really good stuff (Sanderson’s Reckoners series for instance I can give a 9 for it’s gripping story told from a brilliantly executed first person perspective).

Not sure what to make of that Mc bit in that last line there. Do you want me to list some of the more enjoyable LN series I’ve read?

        • Oops it was supposed to just be mind recommending me some of your favorite light novels yes, and your favorite books too.

  • synopsis looks interesting, I hope it’s good.

    • I think it’s got promise. It was only published last year of January and it already got an anime adaptation announcement. I’ll definitely read this one as well
