  • Thanks for volume 17

  • Turns out the volume I was hoping for was 17 -_- still thanks for new release.

  • Sorry if I’m off topic, but is there an Ebook Reader that has a zoom function? For text, I can change the font size. But for images, especially if the image has fairly small writing, I have difficulty reading it. In contrast to PDF readers, we can determine the display size.

  • Last week releases were crap. This is at least bearable (See what I did there 😉

  • Thank you kindly, can’t wait for volume 16 -__-

  • Thank you very much

  • Vol 11.5 just seems to be a collection of stuff that got cut from earlier volumes. So not really worth the time to read that “deleted” stuff that was originally send to the “trash bin”. It could have been interesting if there were some other perspectives on the fun parts but these snippets more often than not cut of just before that.

  • Man vol 11, is full of errors. wrong names being used, wrong people being attributed to dialogue, suddenly 2 different characters are the head chef of the castle.

    • What in the world are you talking about, I read volume 11.5 3 times and I haven’t noticed any mistakes… Yeah unlike the CotE .5s 11.5 is proper filler but I think is pretty good, is almost all new content and includes all the illustrations up to volume 9 plus some new ones, us fairly long too. I doubt any of the stories were sent to the “trash bin” or we would have never gotten to see them, it’s most likely new stuff the author wrote…

Since Yuna is never the PoV of 11.5 I have to say that is indeed all new perspectives and it rarely cuts on the fun parts ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      • So I guess now I have to substantiate what I said because you just had to claim the opposite. It’s still not really worth the time to read so thanks for that [sarcasm]. Yeah I’m not going in depth though.

Chapter 3: “They started really getting into talking about her… I’d wanted to hear a bit more about the bear, but that was that.”
That part pretty much shows what I was talking about.

Chapter 4: Cliff has all sorts of incorrect fantasies about the bear girl but then it cuts off before he even ever sees the bear girl in person.

Chapter 5: “Today was the long-awaited day… Today was the day the bear would
visit.” And then it cuts off before the meeting happens.

Here you have it a few picks I could relatively quickly find without reading all the way trough (still took to much time though) of what typically happens when it’s about to get to “the fun parts”.

Oh and it’s not really new content, more like the same content from a different perspective but then cuts off at the fun parts. Content a decent editor is likely to move to the trash bin (like on a computer) to prevent things from getting repetitive (aka boring aka filler) when left in the original production.

  • i don’t like boys in isekai because it will turned to Harem

    • Plenty reverse harem crap out there too. This has some annoying feminist undertones too so it ain’t perfect just because it’s a girl in the lead. Don’t get me wrong it’s still one of my favorite isekais (although those bear puppet gloves are sooooo stupid, it’s a real eye sore).

    • It’s almost 7 months without an update

  • what a pleasant surprise at the end of the year… thx for the 8th vol!

  • You know this bear girl (or the author) is quite discriminatory when it comes to gender. She only hires girls. Is generally a dick to the opposite sex (bears included) and forbids grown women to have male company over.

    • She doesn’t only hire girls. It’s purely coincidental that girls are available. She invited Deigha to work for her, but unfortunately, he refused since he didn’t want to leave the seaport. She also hired Gil along with Rulina to work as guards on several occasions. Pretty sure there are even male orphans working under her. She’s often a dick to male adventurers because come on, they pick a fight on her first. They always say she’s this weak person that isn’t supposed to be an adventurer. Pretty sure she’d beat them up even if they were girls. Lastly, she forbids the women to have guys over just like they do on all women’s dorms. All of her workers in Bear Bistro who were leaving on the second floor were girls so pretty much to avoid noises or disturbances between them, it’s better not to have some funny business going on. She didn’t prohibit them from doing stuffs with guys, that’s why she said to those “grown women” that they can find an inn or hotel or something somewhere else if they wanted to do something with guys.

      • There is the shit about her not liking boys shown with her thought process when Noir first met her.

But the author doesn’t exactly treat male characters like shit and stuff, and there still are male characters (looking at you 300 years slime novel)

      • That’s like kinda “the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard” to claim that something is coincidental in a written work of fiction… I sure hope I don’t need to spell out to you that IT’S UP TO THE AUTHOR, there are no coincidences.

Deigha, just happens to have a daughter (“coincidentally” not a son) ready and available to work for Juna… Who the hell is Gil? Don’t even remember a side character like that, as a guard, does she need guarding? I’m not sure about the LN’s but the anime sure as hell has no boys working at the bear haven or whatever it was called. A place run by a women and her daughter and all the girls from the orphanage, the husband is “coincidentally” not in the picture anymore. Her second shop is also run very “coincidentally” by (adult) women (who “coincidentally” aren’t allowed to have men over at their own private living quarters).

9 out of 10 people she (more than casually) interacts with are female. Of course male adventurers being the ones picking a fight is also just “coincidental” (no bitches allowed) just like how it was “coincidental” that the one female party member of that Deberony party was the only one coming along on that goblin quest. Shouldn’t Juna have been tagging along with the party that couldn’t fulfill he quest because they were a man short? Just a matter of coincidence right that all the male party members got shoved to the sidelines, right?

It’s just a “coincidence” that arguable the most powerful noble of the kingdom is a woman (Cliff’s wife) as the king is portrayed less than fully competent (totally coincidental) and this same women just happens to treat her husband as dirt (and it’s not like he deserves it or anything).

It’s also just “coincidence” that there hasn’t been a single female bad guy or rather bad girl as of yet right?

I could go on (extensively) but I think I made my point.

        • Come on, it’s just fiction man. I bet the author had suffered some tough shit from men in real life which made her want to get back at them in her head. If anything, she has the right to do that so long as her books are sold and the fans love them.

I mean, there are tons of light novels out there that have the exact attitude toward women and often make most of them join the MC’s harem to serve under him.

Authors are human, too. They write not only to serve their audience but also to live out their fantasies and other insignificant stuff. So you don’t have to be this stressed over one (1) woman who wants to treat men in her fantasy world worse than the current society allows her to.

It’s not her fault for doing so and it’s definitely not anyone’s fault for liking it, either v(‘ ~ ‘)v

          • For the record I never “stressed” over it. I was just pointing out that the Purno statement was true and what the “shut up” dummy had to say about it was just well dumb.

I do have to say that after reading 11.5, it would seem that this gender bias may be more of an editorial/publisher push than something that came solely from the author. Doesn’t change the end result though which the author obviously consented to.

        • I think Deigha does have a son but obviously he’d need to take care of the family business. Isn’t it normal that Yuna a 15 years old wouldn’t want anything to do with se*ual activities on the properties she owns? she even took into account that they will probably get BFs that’s why she said that, I’m sure if the older employees want to get it on they can just rent a room in the inn… Gil is a prominent side character alongside Rulina the girl from the party Yuna asked to tag along to defeat the goblins, Rulina and Gil basically come as a pair whenever they show up.

Yuna straight up tells Rulina she wants her cause she can’t trust the people deborane hung out with and because Rulina was reasonable and she was a girl, although in reality she’d much rather go along but figures Rulina can skin and gather the monsters… well you probably not notice if you read japanese fantasy fiction a lot but a guy and a girl going out of town alone is not a great look, the other 2 were, the guy that was picking a fight with Yuna and Gil who looks scary although turned out to be a good guy. It’s not that the quest had a participant requirement, is just that deborane was strong so they needed him.

Yuna asked the orphans to work under her and at the very beginning a mix group volunteers and she accepts so boy orphans are definitely working, in fact it would be weird if she just let them be idle while the girl orphans are trying their best…. Idk when Ellelaura treated Cliff like dirt, she says she likes her daughters more than Cliff (perhaps in jest) but it’s pretty clear to me she loves her husband, also there are 3 people above Ellelaura in terms of power (maybe more since we don’t know what she does), the king, the crown prince and the prime minister, is just that we never see two of them and the king acts all familiar with Yuna, but he’s a normal good king.

It’s true there’s no female villains or villainesses, well bandit is a profession almost exclusively comprised by males no matter what so it’d have to be a more cerebral profession since the story is pretty straight forward there’s not that many chances for that, the villains are usually monsters though, so who knows if a lot of them were females.

Tbf I do find it a bit absurd most prominent and non prominent characters are females, I just figure is a quirk of the author and enjoy it, it’s a super normal thing in harem LN, there’s also more than enough pivotal male characters not a big deal

          • “Tbf I do find it a bit absurd most prominent and non prominent characters are females”
That’s pretty much all I pointed out.

    • Too much italic. Still, thank you though ❤️
