The Case Files of Jeweler Richard

Richard Ranashinghe de Vulpian is a brilliant and enigmatic British jewelry appraiser. Seigi Nakata is a young college student. Their worlds are as different as can be, but when a chance encounter leads Seigi to hire Richard to appraise a family heirloom, it sparks a partnership that goes well beyond that one job. Together, the duo investigate jewelry-related cases and solve mysteries, finding the secret messages hidden in the hearts of precious stones–and the hearts of those who possess them.

  • volume 7… pretty please…

  • It seems currently available Vol. 6 is the old version, which missed the Extra Case: Part 2

  • would there really be a continuation?

  • this is a spoiler but everything but his first name is faked. his birth name is richard claremont which is a totally normal name for a british dude lol

  • There’s no way someone with that name is British. I hate those random name generators Japanese authors seem so fond of.

    • well this is japanese novel we are talking about. do you ever wonder how many novel series is saying and claiming this and that about names are from there and here? a lot, and me myself never try to confirm whether thats true or not, and likely so as well of other people, maybe, probably.

    • Reminder:
its a fucking fictional story, names are important to distinguish between characters, nothing more.

Also, the French and British have long-standing historical ties. These are some historical names of native British birth:

      Henry Thomas Dundas Le Vesconte
      William Tufnell Le Queux
      Bulmer de Sales La Terriere
