Hmmmm… just finished reading 4 and I am torn on the series on one hand the overall story is pretty good I like the lore and the characters and how the action is pretty solid. Also a plus that he has no hesitation in actually killing people who come after his life. On the other hand I find it infuriating at times how dense the MC can be.
I get he thinks half of everything that goes on is a game and his subordinates are humoring him. But the fact that he never even makes any attempt to even seriously listen to them or anyone really is maddening at points.
Yes he comes in and saves the day and everything ends out for the better but for him to tune out every single time someone tries to tell him something remotely important. Like he appears at the opportune time being all OP and solves the problem but never once does he ask or try to figure out how or why something happened. I know that this is how he’s supposed to be and is the basis of the LN he not know anything but at times it feels too heavy handed.
Woah, the anime only reached up to volume 2? That was 20-episode long~

I really do hope that the light novel version is better than the WN one. Idk if it’s because some WN are mtl’d but the pacing of the story, especially in the latter part is kinda weird and all over the place. Even the MC kinda gets annoying/unlikable but that’s just probably me. Hopefully this version is better than the WN one.
